New for 2012
We are constantly working to enhance our guest experience and for 2012 we have many exciting upgrades and changes... Here are a few of the things which we are sure you will enjoy for the coming season.
Improvements
at The Point
Flat Screen Televisions in all rooms
All new Duvelet Bed Covers in all 61 units
All 61 units will have fresh paint on the woodwork
All rooms will have at least slight upgrades to furniture, some will
have major upgrades as indicated below
New Carpet in five more rooms, meaning one fourth of the property has
new carpet in the past three years
New re-configured Pool Fence allowing those that sit at the pool to
enjoy an ocean view
Computer Station with printer for guest use in Registration area (great
for printing Boarding Passes)
New carpet and lighting in the registration area
The Seaward Cottage will be completely
redone with granite counter in the kitchen, new flooring, new
sofa, new chairs, new beds including a queen four poster bed, new
dressers and new mirrors.
Sea Winds Building Second Level: The three upstairs rooms are undergoing a
transformation that will result in those rooms having one King Bed
with a Sleeper Sofa, and chairs from which to watch the sunset. All
new furniture, all new drapes, all new furnishings on the beds and a full
length mirror in the room.
Sea Winds Building Level One: Two queen beds, all new drapes, new upgraded
furniture, fresh paint and new bedding.
Hatchard House - Rooms: HH1, HH2, HH4, HHB
These four rooms are being completely redone including new upholstered
headboards in each room (all are King rooms), new drapes, new shades,
new lamps. New carpeting in rooms 1 and 2 will complete the carpeting
redo started in 2011 (when rooms 4 and B were redone).
Hatchard House Room - HHC will have new drapes, a new couch and a new
bathroom, plus of course the upgraded bedding all rooms are receiving
(this room received new carpet in 2011).
West Wind Building: We are removing the old
wallpaper and painting all of the walls as well as the trim. These rooms
will have new dressers, lamps, drapes and bedding. The two upstairs
rooms here
have a King Bed and the two downstairs rooms have two Queen
beds each.
Oceanfront Inn Room 9 Upgrade: King room with
views across the bay and down the ocean will have new bedside tables,
new dresser, and new chairs.
In the Lodge Suites, you will find new couches, which can be converted
into Queen beds, plus coffee makers.
Some of the rooms in Farmhouse Motel B were rather crowded
with furniture. We are taking some of the larger, heavy pieces out in an
effort to create a little more space.
All of the above improvements are in addition to the 2011 improvements
when we added new carpet in the Hatchard House Lobby, and all four of
the downstairs units in the Hatchard House.
Ocean
Point Inn Continental Breakfast
We are enhancing our Continental Breakfast for 2012 with several new items.
Breakfast hours will continue to be from 7:30AM until 10:00AM, with
early morning coffee available beginning at 6:30AM.
Coffee Pots
We will have several Coffee Pots at the Front Desk
for guests to borrow during your stay. If you wish to have a coffee
maker in your room, please let us know when you make your reservation,
and we will do our best to remember to put one in the room the day of
your arrival.
Irons and Ironing Boards
We have several Irons and Ironing Boards available, please let us know
when you make your reservation or at least 24 hours in advance, and we
will do our best to place one in your room.
Lunch
at The Point
We will have Box Lunches available, new this season, for those that just
want to relax at the resort for the day or take with you on a day trip
as you tour the coast.
Rates for 2012, Getting Right to the Point
Even with all these enhancements and improvements, you will find most of
our 2012 rates very affordable. Our goal is to continue to
offer you an affordable retreat, and the best value possible at Ocean
Point. For those of you who love our inclusive packages, you will notice
we greatly simplified these for 2012. Take a look at our
