Dougie MacLean is one of Scotland's most successful, respected and
popular musicians. Singer-songwriter, composer and 'magical' performer,
he is also a fine guitarist and fiddle player. From his home base in
Butterstone near Dunkeld in the beautiful Tay Valley in Perthshire
Scotland, MacLean tours the world with his unique blend of lyrical,
'roots based' songwriting and instrumental composition. His moving song
Caledonia and melody The Gael (used in The Last of the Mohicans) have
been recorded by hundreds of artists and enjoyed by millions worldwide.

Annual Windjammer Days - June 25 and 26, 2013
Fully rigged windjammers sail into Boothbay Harbor. Two days, Tuesday
and Wednesday, of family fun, pancake breakfasts, waterfront concerts,
and fireworks over the Harbor, street parade, antique boat parade and
more.

Fourth of July - July 4th
25th Old Fashioned 4th of July Family Celebration. Arts & Crafts Show,
children’s games, chicken barbeque, live music. Fireworks over the
Harbor.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Opening reception Lunaform
(5:30 – 7:30 p.m.) – a 20th Anniversary Exhibit
A summer exhibit at the Gardens of the Lunaform Studio’s one-of-a-kind
pots. Enjoy the horticulture staff’s unique plantings in many of the
vessels. Use your smartphone to take the self-guided, interactive tour
and learn about the fine craftsmanship of these works of art.

Auto Days - July 20 and 21, 2013
Over 250 restored and running antique autos. Demonstrations, contests,
events and awards.
Sunday afternoon parade through Boothbay Harbor. Hosted by the Boothbay
Railway Village.

July 27 & 28 - 57th Annual Boothbay Harbor Antiques Show &
Sale
A small but fine antiques show & sale featuring 30 dealers showing 18th
and 19th century furniture, Americana, antique & estate jewelry, antique
silver, decoys, sporting antiques, fine glass & china including
Staffordshire, Flow Blue, quimper, early soft paste; Americana, and
early hearth equipment; Sandwich & other fine glass; pottery, brass,
copper, and pewter; quilts and other textiles; antiquarian books, prints
and paintings; and other fine antiques. The show has been running for 56
years and is an annual event that visitors and local residents look
forward to. Held at the Boothbay Harbor Elementary School, directly
behind the Boothbay High School on Route 27 coming ino town. Lunch &
snacks are available.

Annual Boat Builders Festival - Late July early August
Tours of Shipyards, sail loft, small and large vessels, historical
lectures, kids’ activities, art show, music, chowder, lobster rolls and
more. Held at the Ship Builders Park in East Boothbay.
August 1-28, 2013 - Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - “Tree
Sketches,” drawings of trees by Dick Rauh.
In addition to teaching a week-long workshop, Drawing Native Plants of
Maine from August 5-9, in association with the New York Botanical
Garden, Dick Rauh’s exceptional drawings of trees will be on exhibit in
the Education Center.

40th Annual Fall Foliage Festival - Oct
12th and 13th
Maine Crafts, culinary booths, chowder, cheeses, chili, and home baked
goods. Two days of toe-tapping music and entertainment. There are steam
train rides and antique autos on the grounds. Sponsored by the Boothbay
Information Center and the Boothbay Railway Village on Route 27.
