2010 Ocean Point Inn Photo Contest Winners
Our first annual photo contest was a huge success with over 300 images posted. Thank you all for participating with your beautify portrayals of OPI. Below are our 2010 OPI Photo Winners…
First Prize and $250 towards a 2011 Summer Getaway at
OPI goes to Daniel Giuditta for his Ocean Point Inn Dock and Sky. To be
candid, Daniel continues to provide us so many great images; in fact
some of his photos have been featured in our web site and promotional
materials in 2010. Look at the fantastic light in Daniel’s OPI Dock
photo.
Second Prize and $150 Dollars toward a 2011 OPI Getaway
is awarded Rowland Williams - A tip of the hat to the Ocean Point
Inn gardeners that Rowland captured in stunning color. Thanks for all
your submissions Rowland, many of our fans agree your work is
award-worthy.
Third Place and a $50 Dining Certificate goes to Arlo
West - We selected this classic Boothbay skiff image out of so many
great shots Arlo provided. As one OPI friend commented, “Cool
perspective… the real deal”.
Honorable Mention Prizes...
Most Enthusiastic Family and a $40 Dining Certificate
is awarded to Nack253 - We love these three very enthusiast OPI fans in
front of our sign.
Best Sunset and a $40 Dining Certificate goes to
Darlish - Darleen Mimnaugh - We all love our OPI sunsets and
Darlene’s photo captures the spectacular orange glow at day’s end with
perfection!
Best Signature Chairs and a $25 Dining Certificate is awarded
to Michelle Mazzotta - This is a classic signature shot of our OPI
gardens, Adirondack chairs and coastline.
Best Comments and Best Birthday Girl and a $25 Dining
Certificate goes to Gingerbeaddesigns - We just love this photo of
Ginger in front of the Inn. We hope you can stay longer in 2011!
Best Biking Image – and a $25 Dining Certificate winner is
Elderstin - Thanks for sharing this image of Bob and his bike. You
may notice we love seeing our name and those gorgeous colors!
Best Dining Images -and a $25 Dining Certificate is for
BEGBex’s Dinner at the Inn - Dining images are a challenge and we
applaud BEGBEX for this appetizing shot. BEGBEX also deserves a paddle
up for best Kayak image.
Thank you again for all your wonderful entries in our 1st annual OPI
Photo Contest. We also reviewed your comments and will make them part of
our consideration next year! So if you can get friends to comment on
your images that will improve your shot at an award. Two other tweaks,
we will ask photographers to submit just one entry of similar images. If
you have three great sunset images, please select the BEST one to post.
And we will be limiting each photographer to 25 images maximum for 2011,
so pick you best.
