I-95 North from Boston. In Maine I-95 becomes the Maine Turnpike. Just beyond Portland*, take Exit 52 (Falmouth/Freeport Exit). Now follow signs for to I-295 North (Falmouth/Freeport). Continue north on I-295 past Freeport** toward Brunswick. Take Exit 28 (Bath/Brunswick Coastal Route 1 exit). Follow Route 1 through Brunswick, Bath and Wiscasset. After crossing the bridge just beyond Wiscasset, turn right onto Route 27 following signs for Boothbay Harbor. Continue about 12 miles and, just before entering the business district, turn left at the traffic light onto Route 96 (signs for East Boothbay and Ocean Point). Follow Route 96 for about 6.5 miles. You then have 2 options to find The Ocean Point Inn.
Option 1) Look for Middle Road on your right. The sign for Middle Road has a sign for Ocean Point Inn under it with an arrow indicating your right turn. Follow Middle Road (.5 miles) to the end. Turn right onto Shore Road. Look for the Inn on your right.
Option 2) Soon after Middle Road Rt 96 will come to the ocean where you must go right onto Shore Road. Follow Shore Road along the ocean until you see Ocean Point Inn on your right.
*You will note that Exit 44 is the First exit for I-295 and takes you through Portland. This is an alternative route and you may get off at Exit 44 if you like, particularly if you want to visit Portland and maybe tour/shop the "Old Port" or stop for lunch on the water at DiMillos Floating Restaurant or for Pizza at Flat Bread Pizza (also on the water).
