We have a wonderful oceanfront restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily in season. Our menu features local seafood, lobster, entrees for land lovers, and appetizers. The large windows frame a westerly panorama of blue sky, green firs on neighboring peninsulas, and islands. Most evenings you will enjoy a beautiful sunset.
A walk along Shore Road is simply breathtaking and a great way to take in this special part of mid-coast Maine. The mile walk or drive along Shore Road to the tip of the Ocean Point peninsula is filled with unobstructed ocean views, lighthouses, fishermen and lobstermen at work, and pleasure boats and sailing craft out on the water. Many guests also enjoy just watching the waterfront from our Adirondack chairs on the seawall beside the Card Cove Pier. From the pier guests often try their luck at salt-water fishing by tossing a line overboard for occasional flounder, pollack, or mackerel. Sometimes you may even see a seal.
Our location in the Boothbay Harbor Region on Maine's mid-coast is ideal. Not only can you take in all the beauty of Ocean Point, East Boothbay, and Boothbay Harbor, you can also easily access much of the Maine coast from here. Boothbay Harbor is just a 6.5-mile drive from Ocean Point, and in the Harbor you can enjoy many waterborne activities such as sightseeing excursions to see whales, seals, lobstermen hauling traps, and the rugged Maine coastline. For the land lover there are gift shops, an 18-hole golf course, an aquarium, and one of the finest botanical gardens in New England.
